Bonjour ! I’m Cathlin, a NAATI translator and French teacher. With a love of the French language and culture, I began learning French at the age of 12. I’ve since honed my skills through study, practice and living in Francophone countries, culminating in my NAATI translator certification. I’m registered as a Certified Translator with the Australian government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Consulate General of France in Sydney
I understand the importance of language learning in a globalised world. Although my husband and I are both native English speakers, we’re raising our sons to be bilingual in French and English. Of all my students, my kids are the ones of whom I’m most proud! Read my article about my bilingual child-raising experience.
After starting my career in PR, I began working in the language services industry in 2003 as an English and French teacher. Later, I moved on to business development for a boutique French language school. My experience includes project management, marketing/communications and website content writing (proficient in WordPress, Wix and Squarespace).
I’m committed to helping individuals and businesses as a NAATI translator. Whether you’re a migrant needing fast turnaround document translations for your visa application or a business in need of NAATI translation services, I have the knowledge and experience to help you succeed.
I’m proud to be a volunteer translator with Proz Pro Bono.
